Trauma-informed, non-coercive support helps you practise everyday skills at your own pace. Your choice to decline, end or change support is separate from your tenancy.

Your individual service plan sets the scope of assistance. Depending on your goals, support may include:

Develop household routines, understand tenancy responsibilities and practise communicating with landlords.

Plan meals, shop with support, practise cooking and organize everyday household tasks.

Build budgeting skills and navigate identification, applications and personal documents.

Explore education or employment, prepare applications and develop routines that support participation.

Plan transportation and agree on assistance with appointments, activities and community access.

Choose achievable steps, recognize progress and adjust support as your priorities change.

Start with the adult’s interest, strengths, goals, support needs and identified risks. Review existing housing, services and the people they want involved.
Acceptance depends on fit, capacity and an individual plan. A written agreement confirms the purchaser, approvals, scope, schedule, responsibilities, pricing and funding before support begins.
Review progress and share consent-based updates with authorized partners. Adults retain their personal choices; First Nations retain their funding and authorization decisions.
A history of care may inform planning. Eligibility, purchasing arrangements and funding requirements are considered individually.
